How to replace the rear trunk latch on 2000 Chevrolet K3500?

In order to install the new liftgate latch, one has to take off the trim panel, the cover bolts of the latch assembly and the seal. Note the position of the latch assembly and then remove its bolts and remove it. Install latch assembly, re-attach lock rods and fix cover bolts. Lastly, re-fit the trim panel.
