How to service the Bank 2 oxygen sensor on 2000 Cadillac DeVille?

Service operations on the bank 2 Oxygen Sensor require engine temperatures above 48°c (120°F) because temperatures below this level affect sensor extraction difficulty. Using a unique anti-seize compound technicians apply it to the Oxygen Sensor threads. Oxygen sensors that are new arrive with built-in anti-seize coating yet used sensors require p/n 5613695 or equivalent anti-seize compound application on their threads. The work begins with vehicle hoisting and after support is achieved move on to splash shield removal. First disconnect the electrical connector from the front Oxygen Sensor then extract the sensor from the front Exhaust Manifold. Insert the front Oxygen Sensor into the front Exhaust Manifold before securing it with 41 n.m (30 lb ft) torque. Reinstall the front splash shield while reconnecting the front Oxygen Sensor electrical connector and carefully lowering the vehicle.
