Install the front wheels with the column and rack centered, loosen the pinch bolts, then slide the old Steering Shaft off the splines allowing it to collapse safely. Prior to inserting the fresh part, ensure that joints slide freely, align it to the same length as the old one, and then direct the new Steering Shaft into the grooves immediately indicated until it fits into place. Tighten the screws to the proper amount of torque, reconnect battery, turn the lock of the wheel to lock to ensure free movement and then just do a very short test run to ensure that everything is in center.
