    Starting the left Engine Mount replacement requires that you lift the vehicle and detach the tire and wheel before taking out the wheelhouse panel. During replacement of front propeller shafts all 4wd vehicle owners must execute this step. Raising the engine by the crankshaft balancer or Oil Pan should never be performed because it poses a safety hazard. Adjustable screw-type jack stands should be used to lift and hold the engine in position. To start the replacement process remove first the Engine Mount-to-Engine Mount bracket bolts followed by the Engine Mount bolts which will allow you to extract the left Engine Mount. The left Engine Mount should be placed on the engine before installing the Engine Mount bolts with 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.) torque. The installation process requires lowering the engine followed by removing the adjustable jack stands. Reinstall the front propeller shaft as a part of the 4wd vehicle assembly process. Begin by putting on the Engine Mount-to-Engine Mount bracket bolts and tighten them to 65 nm (48 ft. Lbs.). Put on the wheelhouse panel followed by the tire and wheel. Finally, lower the vehicle.

    Begin the replacement of the right Engine Mount by performing manifold removal for 4.8l and 5.3l and 6.0l engines or proceeding with 8.1l engine removal. Start by removing the bolts which join the mount brackets for the engine. Raise and support your vehicle before you remove the tire along with the wheel. Begin by removing both the inner wheelhouse panel together with the engine protection shield if this equipment is installed. The crankshaft balancer and Oil Pan must not be used to elevate or maintain the engine during this process. Before proceeding attach adjustable screw-type jack stands to support the engine before you take out the right Engine Mount by removing its Engine Mount bolts. Place the right Engine Mount onto the motor so you can insert and tighten its bolts to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Lower down the engine before taking out the adjustable jack stands. You should attach the Engine Mount-to-Engine Mount bracket bolts before torquing them to 65 nm (48 ft. Lbs.). Proceed with reinstallation of the Exhaust Manifold for 4.8l, 5.3l, 6.0l engines or 8.1l engine followed by the inner wheelhouse panel and tire and wheel assemblies with the option for engine protection shield if present before lowering the vehicle.
