How to replace the front door window crank handles on GMC Sonoma?

Before replacing the window crank handles you need to close the window. Use the Door Handle Clip Remover tool J 9886-01 to disconnect the handle from its base by placing the device between the bits near the bearing plate and pushing it against the handle direction. Once you disconnect the clip, take out the handle from the door and then remove the window crank handles plus the bearing plate. First put the bearing plate on the door. After that install the window crank handles. After attaching the retaining clip onto the handle you can place the handle on the window regulator shaft facing forward. After putting the handle in place push down firmly to activate the clip connection with the shaft.
