Gently lift the wood shifter assembly close-out while rotating it to place the panel over the shift handle before detachment. First use a flat-bladed tool to remove the passenger side toe-panel before disconnecting the instrument panel to console wiring harness connection. The storage compartment's convenience tray becomes accessible through the armrest opening. The console removal starts by disconnecting two fasteners that hold it in place against both the shifter assembly and the vehicle floor. Then you can lift the console above the floor studs to detach it from the vehicle. When installing a new Center Console keep all components from the original console including the compact disc player, amplifier and rear seat audio control harnesses for wiring the new console. Begin installation by linking the console wiring harness to the console before adding the rear seat audio control along with the amplifier and compact disc player. Take care to avoid harm to the instrument panel to console wiring harness during this operation. Place the console over the floor studs after which install two fasteners and apply torque to 10 n.m (88 lb in).
