The replacement of the Power Steering Cooler requires starting by taking out the radiator grille first. Start by draining as much power steering fluid from the reservoir and position drain pans under the vehicle. Disconnect the power steering gear outlet hose from the Power Steering Cooler and also disconnect the Power Steering Cooler hose from the
Power Steering Pump. First free the Power Steering Cooler by removing all its bolts and remove the cooler from the vehicle. The new Power Steering Cooler requires being positioned in place followed by securing it with Power Steering Cooler bolts while tightening each bolt to 9 nm (80 lb in). Secure the power steering plumbing with the Power Steering Pump towards the Power Steering Cooler. Also join the power steering gear outlet hose with the Power Steering Cooler. First clean all excess liquid before removing drain pans. Subsequently add fluid while performing the power steering system bleeding process. Finally, reinstall the radiator grille.
