How to replace the engine oil pressure switch on GMC Sierra 1500?

To replace the Engine Oil Pressure Sensor or Switch, first, if needed, remove the engine sight shield. Insert the paperclip and pull the sensor out. Drain the oil pressure sensor using the Oil Pressure Switch Socket (J41712). Apply sealant GM P/N 12346004 or the Canadian P/N 10953480 or equal to the new oil pressure sensor threads. Material: Oil Pressure Switch Socket (J41712) Use the Oil Pressure Switch Socket (J41712) to install the oil pressure sensor and tighten it up to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.), then Mounting special sensor on side of crank case, insert sensor painting, with the primary head and evaluate it. Finally, you may connect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector and, possibly, install the engine sight shield back again.
