How to replace the shock absorber with a coil spring on GMC Sierra 1500 Classic?

Vehicle elevation and support are necessary before support of the lower Control Arm with a jack stand. You must begin by removing these two parts: the upper insulator and the Shock Absorber mounting bolts at the lower Control Arm. You can then take out the Shock Absorber below by removing it from the lower Control Arm. The Shock Absorber needs to be inserted below the lower Control Arm before the tennon fits into the upper spring pocket mount hole for precise alignment with the lower Control Arm mounting holes. Install the Shock Absorber bolts to the lower Control Arm while applying torque of 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). The upper insulator requires installation above the shock mounting bracket on the frame thus it must be positioned onto the Shock Absorber. Proceed by attaching the nut to the tennon end but leave it loose before eliminating the safety stands to lower the vehicle. Use a wrench to maintain hold on the tennon end before tightening the nut to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.) while properly disposing of the Shock Absorber.
