GMC Sierra 1500 Classic Motor And Transmission Mount Parts and Q&A
Q: How to replace the rear Motor and Transmission Mount on the NV 3500 manual transmission on GMC Sierra 1500 Classic?
A:
When replacing the transmission rear mount on NV 3500 manual transmissions start by properly supporting and raising the vehicle. First remove the transmission mount to crossmember nut and then the transmission mount to transmission bolts. A proper transmission jack should lift the transmission until the mount becomes removable followed by removal of the transmission mount. Position the transmission mount and tighten the transmission mount to transmission bolts at 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.). Ensure the transmission admission via the transmission jack, then mount the transmission to crossmember nut while tightening it to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). Finally, lower the vehicle.
