To replace the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve one has to start by removing the air cleaner outlet resonator. Next, remove the evaporation (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve tube quick connect fitting from the evaporate purge solonoid valve and relocate it, next tube out of the way. After that, unplug the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the evap purge valve solenoid. However, remove the bolt of the evap canister purge solenoid valve and take out the evap canister purge solenoid valve from upper
Intake Manifold, take out the o-ring seal. For installation, lightly lubricate the o-ring seal with fresh engine oil to make the activity easier, and then fitting the evap canister purge solenoid valve into the upper Intake Manifold. Bolt the evap canister purge solenoid valve in position and tighten 10nm (89 lb in). It has been pointed out thatcareless failure to replace these warranted electrical connectors with compatible upgrade functional connectors for engine wiring harness may result in electrical connections between evap purge valve solenoid, evap canister purge solenoid tube, as well as tube quick connectors that are still suitable for usage. Lastly, replace the air cleaner outlet resonator.
