How to replace the front brake line on GMC Sierra 1500?

Start by lifting up and supporting the vehicle before you take off the wheel and tire unit. You must scrub all dirt from brake pipe and hose fittings before you seal their open ends with rubber caps to avoid fluid waste and damage. Put a back up tool on the hose fitting and disconnect the brake pipe connection from the hose while capping the fitting end. Take out the brake hose retaining clip from the bracket before detaching the brake hose bolt from both Control Arm and Steering Knuckle. Take out the brake hose through its bolt from the brake caliper and discard the 2 brake hose gaskets made of copper before continuing. To install put the brake hose bolt through new 2 copper gaskets and attach it to the brake hose before placing the brake hose onto caliper bolt and new washers onto brake caliper. Torque the bolt to 40 nm (30 ft. Lbs.). Place the brake hose through the bracket when the vehicle rests on its suspension assembly. Floatingactionbutton new brake hose bolts before attaching them to the Steering Knuckle and upper Control Arm while tightening both with 9 nm (80 inch lbs.) torque. Add the brake hose retaining clip afterward. Using a back up wrench on the brake hose end connect the brake pipe fitting nut to the hose then tighten the bolt to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Make sure to avoid bending either the bracket or attached pipe. After bleeding the brakes you must reinstall the wheel and tire before testing to make sure brake hose stays safe from moving suspension parts during cornering and parking the vehicle.

How to Replace a Rear Brake Line on a Caliper on GMC Sierra 1500?

In order to replace the rear brake hose, initially, lift and support the car after that, the tire and the wheel assembly will be removed. Remove all dirt from fittings of the brake hose and the brake pipe fittings and apply rubber caps or plugs so that fluids cannot be lost and become contaminated. At the hose end of the brake pipe, use a back up wrench and remove the fitting from the brake hose and cap it off. Next, take off the brake hose retaining clip, the brake hose on the mounting bracket, brake hose to caliper bolt-holder, brake hose off caliper. Dispose of the 2 copper brake hose gaskets that are adhered on the caliper housing or hose end. Installation - two new copper brake hose gaskets, assemble with brake hose bolt onto brake hose, brake hose to caliper bolt with 2 new washers to brake caliper, bolt tightening to 40 nm (30 ft. Lbs.). Make sure that the hose is free of twists and does not touch any suspension part; after that, the brake hose must be mounted into the bracket with the use of retaining clip. Pry off the rubber cap or plug from the brake pipe fitting end, and then attach the brake pipe fitting nut to the brake hose with a back up wrench on the hose nut, but don't bend the bracket or pipe, tighten the fitting end to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs). Bleed the hydraulic brake system, replace the tire and wheel assembly, and make sure the hose has no contact with any part of the suspension or wheel. If yes, then you take out and adjust hose position prior to lowering your vehicle.
