  The procedure for Timing Chain service starts with front engine cover removal plus Crankshaft position reluctor ring removal followed by fresh engine front cover installation. Wait for the number one cylinder to reach top dead center (TDC) compression position while both sprockets display alignment marks. The installation process starts with removing camshaft sprocket bolts before proceeding to the removal of camshaft sprocket and camshaft Timing Chain. The Crankshaft gear installer (J 5825-A) serves to pull out the Crankshaft sprocket as well as the woodruff key (crankshaft balancer). Install the woodruff key (crankshaft balancer) inside the Crankshaft first if removed then line up the keyway of the Crankshaft sprocket with the woodruff key followed by using the Crankshaft gear installer (J 5590) together with a hammer to properly set the Crankshaft sprocket. Maintain the number 1 piston position at tdc compression stroke while ensuring the timing marks between both sprockets line up with the Crankshaft sprocket facing 12 o'clock and the camshaft sprocket at 6 o'clock.   In order to replace the Timing Chain, crankshaft sprocket camshaft position actuator and solenoid valve, an ignition pump must be removed first. Make sure that the teeth of the j 42386-a are in the right position. Rotate the crankshaft sprocket until the camshaft position (CMP) actuator alignment mark and the crankshaft sprocket alignment mark are aligned and install and tighten the j 42386-a remove and discard cmp actuator solenoid valve (234) loosen and separate from the cmp actuator & Timing Chain the camshaft, be careful not to pull on the reluctor wheel. Dismount the cmp actuator (235) and Timing Chain (208), and put a tie strap through the center of the actuator and over the reluctor wheel, then unbolt the Timing Chain tension bolts (231) and tensioner (232). Now use the j 41816-2, j 41558, bolts, and j 8433 to undo the crankshaft sprocket, (207), and also the crankshaft sprocket key if any. For installation, insert the key in crankshaft key way tap it and fit the crankshaft sprocket on the crankshaft and align the key with the sprocket keyway. Install the crankshaft sprocket using the j4178 and j41665 until seated. Compress the Timing Chain Tensioner guide and install the en 46330 and install the Timing Chain Tensioner (232) and bolts (231) with a torque of 25 nm (18 lb ft). Correctly attach the cmp actuator to the location pin of the camshaft to make sure the teeth on the sprocket interfacing with the teeth of the Timing Chain align well, as well as the marking alignment marks. Mount the cmp actuator (235) and Timing Chain (208), and guard the hole in the cmp actuator against the locating pin in the camshaft.
