Start the automatic transmission flex plate replacement by removing the automatic transmission when present and experiencing the engine Flywheel's direction and position before extraction. You should start by removing the bolts that hold the engine Flywheel before taking off the automatic transmission engine Flywheel. The engine Flywheel needs cleaning before installation. After cleaning, you can put 2 m11x1.5 mm bolts into the threaded holes on the spacer to turn them clockwise for spacer removal from the
Crankshaft rear. To install the automatic transmission engine Flywheel onto the Crankshaft start by placing the spacer (if applicable) onto the rear of the Crankshaft and then follow with the automatic transmission engine Flywheel. Additional longer Flywheel bolts must be used when installing a Flywheel spacer. Following threadlock application to the Flywheel bolt threads, install engine Flywheel bolts beginning with a 20 nm (15 lb ft) torque level followed by 50 nm (37 lb ft) until reaching 100 nm (74 lb ft). Afterward, install the automatic transmission.
