How to replace the EGR valve on GMC Savana 2500?

Start the replacement process of the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve by eliminating the air cleaner assembly followed by egr electrical connector separation. After uninstalling the valve to flange attaching fasteners remove the EGR Valve by using caution to prevent disassembling the component and avoiding submersion in liquid solvents because they may damage the electrical part. First cut the EGR Valve free then disassemble the flange gasket before cleaning its surface. To install the EGR Valve begin by applying a new flange gasket then position the EGR Valve. According to the fastener notice in service precautions the valve to flange fasteners must be tightened first to 10 n.m (89 lb in) each before achieving final tightening at 25 n.m (18 lb ft) each. The final procedure involves reconnecting the electrical connector as well as installing the air cleaner assembly in place.
