The negative
Battery Cable should be removed before replacing the auxiliary generator (KD9). Next, to peel the upper
Fan Shroud and
Drive Belt. Disconnect everything from the auxiliary generator's electrical connector, slide the protective boot cover along the positive Battery Cable, and pull the b+ positive Battery Cable nut and terminal from the back of the auxiliary generator. Finally, pull off the auxiliary generator's bolts and remove the auxiliary generator. The auxiliary generator should be positioned, and the bolts should be tightened to 50 nm (37 lb ft). Connect the terminal of the battery positive cable to the auxiliary generator and tighten the nut to 10 nm (7 lb ft,) and connect the generator electrical connector. Replace the top shroud and the Drive Belt before reattaching the negative cable of the battery.
