How to replace the outer tie rod in the steering linkage on GMC Savana 1500?

A suitable vehicle support system enables the correct replacement of the steering linkage's outer Tie Rod. First detach the tire along with the wheel. Then extract the outer Tie Rod to Steering Knuckle retaining nut. You should use the j 24319-b steering linkage and Tie Rod puller device as a tool to detach the Steering Knuckle and outer Tie Rod. Start by loosening the jam nut then taking out the outer Tie Rod from the inner Tie Rod for inspection of shaft threads and cleaning the tapered surface of the Steering Knuckle. Use proper chassis lubricant to apply it on the inner Tie Rod threads before installing the new outer Tie Rod. Place the outer Tie Rod onto the inner Tie Rod neither tighten nor loosen the jam nut parameter at this stage. You should mount the outer Tie Rod over the Steering Knuckle retaining nut before applying a torque of 63 nm (47 lb ft). After installation of the tire and wheel you should lower the vehicle while adjusting the front toe measurement.
