Cut the marked portion of the evaporator tube with a tubing cutter while removing all metal burrs that may enter the tube during the cutting process. First remove burrs from the pipe and finally insert ferules and nuts onto each part of the evaporator tube. The small end of the ferrules must face the nut before attaching the A/C Accumulator to the evaporator tube by running its flow arrow toward the evaporator. The technician needs to hold the evaporator tube directly within the A/C Accumulator while he or she uses a torque wrench to run the tightening process to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Triple-nut the A/C Accumulator negatively after you coat its o-rings with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil then position them onto the evaporator tube.
