How to replace the cruise control module on GMC Jimmy?

Follow this procedure to replace the Cruise Control Module: begin by disconnecting the battery negative cable followed by disconnecting both cruise control cable and electrical connector. First remove the 3 nuts securing the Cruise Control Module to the mounting bracket studs then take it and the mounting bracket away from the cowl panel after removing the mounting bracket's 3 screws. When installing the mounting bracket into the cowl panel attach it using three screws before tightening the Cruise Control Module bracket screws to 4.5 n.m (40 lb in). Fasten the Cruise Control Module into position by using 3 nuts at 9.0 n.m (6.6 lb ft). After testing the system functionality between each step reattach the electrical connector and implement the cruise control cable then reinstall the battery negative cable.
