How to replace the Trunk Lock Cylinder on GMC Envoy?

You must first take off the liftgate trim panel to replace the trunk/liftgate lock cylinder. Take out the C clip from its groove as you unlock the lock cylinder from the lock rod. Pull out the lock cylinder from its location on the liftgate. Insert the new lock cylinder into the liftgate space before pushing the C clip securely into its groove. Reconnect the lock rod to its position on the lock cylinder then put back the trim panel.
