  Before replacement of the HVAC control module start by removing the I/P accessory trim plate together with the control module retaining screws. Press the located retaining tabs on the HVAC control module before pulling out the module from the instrument panel. Remove all electrical cables that connect to the HVAC control module. Install the electrical connectors to the HVAC control module after moving the key into the OFF position. Fit the HVAC control module securely into the instrument panel by aligning the retaining tabs followed by screw installation to a torque of 1.9 N.m (17 lb ft). Reinstall the I/P accessory trim plate as the final step. Adjustment of HVAC controls on the calibration process should be avoided since interruptions may cause HVAC system malfunction. Wait one full minute with the engine running.
