  The essential tool required for Heater Core replacement is hose clamp pliers (J 38185). Start by taking off the air cleaner cover combined with the duct assembly after draining the cooling system liquids. The hose clamp pliers (J 38185) should be used to separate the wiper linkage and both heater hoses from the Heater Core. The heating core outlet cover should be removed before you dispose of the screws holding the Heater Core cover followed by the Heater Core cover. The warehouse team must dispose of the cavity , whistle and permagum seals from the Heater Core cover together with the Heater Core outer seal from the Heater Core. Begin by taking off the retaining clamp screw from the Heater Core before removing the retaining clamp. Then detach the Heater Core pipe retainer clamp screw to remove the Heater Core from the hvac module. The hvac module case receives three seals including the lower seal, center seal, and upper seal before discarding all three components. The Heater Core installation starts by fitting the Heater Core pipe retainer clamp correctly onto the pipes before placing new Heater Core side seals and upper seal and center seal and lower seal onto the hvac module case. First replace the Heater Core inside the hvac module case and fasten the Heater Core pipe retaining clamp screw to 1.6 n.m (14 lb in) torque. Then attach the Heater Core retaining clamp and screw to another 1.6 n.m (14 lb in). The installation procedure includes new Heater Core outer seal attachment and new cavity seal in addition to new whistle seal and permagum seal application to the Heater Core cover. Secure the Heater Core cover by placing screws where each screw should tighten to 1.6 n.m (14 lb in). The last steps consist of reinstalling the Heater Core outlet cover while connecting heater hoses with hose clamp pliers j 38185 followed by reinstallation of the wiper linkage and coolant refilling before placing back the air cleaner cover and duct assembly.
