How to replace the Vapor Canister on Chevrolet Equinox?

The replacement requirements begin with a hoist lift of the vehicle to access the central location where the evaporative emission canister exists while connecting to three EVAP lines namely EVAP fresh air, EVAP vent, EVAP purge. Before separating the EVAP canister fresh air hose/pipe from the fuel tank fresh air hose/pipe users must clean all fuel pipe connections alongside their adjacent areas to protect against contamination. The EVAP canister vent hose/pipe along with the EVAP canister purge hose/pipe must be disconnected from the canister. Detach and lower the EVAP canister after unfastening the nuts attached to the underbody. Remove the EVAP canister from the vehicle after disconnecting its EVAP vent solenoid electrical connector. Install the underbody EVP canister by connecting the EVAP vent solenoid electrical connector followed by installing the canister onto its position and tightening EVAP canister-to-underbody nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Normal driving could start through combining the EVAP canister purge hose/pipe with the EVAP canister vent hose/pipe to the canister followed by attaching the EVAP canister fresh air hose/pipe to the fuel tank fresh air hose/pipe. Finally, lower the vehicle.
