Chevrolet Uplander Door Lock Switch Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Replace the Door Lock Switch in a Power Sliding Door Overhead Console on Chevrolet Uplander?
    A:
The first step to replace the Power Sliding Door (PSD) On/Off-Open/Close Overhead Switch requires removing the courtesy lamp lens while unscrewing the overhead console screw. Using your hands pull downward on the overhead console to free fasteners followed by disconnecting the electrical cables from the console. Applying pliers to retainers will let you remove power sliding door on/off multifunction switch from its housing while you pull it toward you. To perform the installation the new power sliding door on/off multifunction switch must fit inside the opening of the overhead console while connecting electrical wiring. Position the overhead console inside the vehicle before using light pressure to hook up the fasteners which will securely hold the console in place. Complete the installation by fastening the overhead console screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in) torque values and then reinstall the courtesy lamp lens.
