Start by removing the retaining screws on the Center Console then set your brake lever to the point where it reaches total engagement. Move the console toward the back of the vehicle and lift the rear component to disconnect electrical connectors as needed. Set your parking brake at its halfway setting then extract the vehicle's Center Console. During floor console base replacement keep all components including the HVAC Control Module (if present), armrest, hvac module and duct assembly, cup holder, and hvac upper duct for future use. During installation the hvac upper duct follows the cup holder and hvac module and duct assembly while the armrest links to the HVAC Control Module (if equipped) before installation of the floor console base. After positioning the Center Console in the vehicle ensure that the parking brake reaches a fully engaged state then complete any necessary electrical connector connections. Reset the console by sliding the rear section forward before tightening all retaining screws to 2.5 nm (22 lb in). After completing the front floor console compartment replacement you must set the floor shift control knob (Floor Shift Control Knob Replacement) into position followed by installing rubber ash tray inserts and rubber mat to the console.
