Chevrolet SSR Intake Manifold enhances the airflow hence possessing a great role in ensuring proper combustion a factor that has a direct impact on both power and fuel consumption. Today's SSR models can include such innovations as lightweight materials used, for example, for a car's body; the materials help to enhance performance and keep air temperatures lower around the engine, thus increasing its efficiency. There is variety of Chevrolet SSR models, and all of them underwent improvements with the help of such features as VLIM- they are adjustable intake tracts depending on the load and engine power. This innovation uses principles like the Venturi effect and applies on the Chevrolet SSR Intake Manifold to makes it unique in the Automobile market. Moreover, the intake manifold is also serves pretty important function for SSA's safety and reliability and thus contributes to comfortable, dynamic handling. Intended to reflect the high level of engineering and substance that Chevrolet is known for, the Chevrolet SSR intake manifold is a brilliant work of art and a testament to the efficiency of this vehicle's engine.

Chevrolet SSR Intake Manifold Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the intake manifold on Chevrolet SSR?
    A:
Begin the Intake Manifold replacement by taking off the Throttle Body alongside Fuel Injectors before disconnecting power supply to the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor and Knock Sensor . The detachment of the Knock Sensor harness connector from the Intake Manifold follows while putting aside the electrical harness. Start by removing the vacuum brake booster hose located at the Intake Manifold rear section before proceeding with the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose extraction. Initially remove MAP Sensor (714) from the Intake Manifold before removing the evaporative emission (EVAP) purge vent tube where you disconnect its solenoid end then squeeze the evap quick connect fitting retainer before taking off the tube end from the vapor pipe. First remove the Intake Manifold bolts then proceed to the evap purge solenoid bolt (710), solenoid (708), and isolator (709) from the Intake Manifold before removing the Intake Manifold itself. Discard existing Intake Manifold gaskets then thoroughly cleanse the surfaces of egr pipe and Exhaust Manifold gaskets when present. Begin installation by placing new Intake Manifold gaskets onto the Intake Manifold before installing the manifold. Use gm threadlock gm p/n 12345382 or canadian p/n 10953489 to apply a 5 mm (0.20 inch) band on the Intake Manifold bolt threads before installation. Tighten the Intake Manifold bolts in sequence to 5 nm (44 ft. Lbs.) on the first pass and to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.) on the final pass. Fit the evap purge solenoid (708), isolator (709) and bolt (710) onto the Intake Manifold while tightening the solenoid bolt to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Connect the evap purge solenoid vent tube to the solenoid base and vapor pipe. Before placing the MAP Sensor (714) to the Intake Manifold make sure the MAP Sensor seal gets a thin layer of clean engine oil for protection. The installation process requires you to restore both the pcv hose and vacuum brake booster hose to the manifold's backside. Direct the electrical cables into their correct position before connecting the Knock Sensor connector to the Intake Manifold and the MAP Sensor electrical connector. The final step involves installing the fuel injectors along with the Throttle Body.
