Using the steering linkage and tie rod puller (J 24319-B) disconnect the outer tie rod from the Steering Knuckle by removing the outer tie rod retaining nut. Start by disconnecting the stabilizer shaft link and washer from the lower Control Arm by removing its lower retaining nut. Apply the steering linkage and tie rod puller (J 24319-B) to remove the shock module yoke lower mounting nut then separate the shock module yoke from the lower Control Arm. To install this component begin by seating the lower Control Arm onto the Steering Knuckle before pivoting it outward and upward to join with the lower Control Arm Bracket. When installing the lower Control Arm to the lower Control Arm Bracket mounting bolts position the lower Control Arm parallel to the bracket for accurate bushing alignment. Finalize installation by first torquing the lower Control Arm Bracket mounting nuts to 130 nm (96 ft. Lbs.) then linking the shock module yoke to the lower Control Arm followed by the shock module yoke lower mounting nut. Next install the stabilizer shaft link and its washer to the lower Control Arm before installing the stabilizer shaft link retaining nut which must be fastened with a torque of 155 nm (114 ft. Lbs.). Place the outer tie rod onto the Steering Knuckle after tightening the 45 nm (33 ft. Lbs.) outer tie rod retaining nut. Finally, reinstall the tire and wheel before dropping the vehicle to examine the front wheel alignment.
