A mechanic should elevate the vehicle before removing wheels, tires and the wheelhouse panel to begin left Engine Mount replacement. During replacement of the front propeller shaft owners of 4wd vehicles should begin by removing this component first. One must avoid supporting or lifting the engine by its crankshaft balancer or
Oil Pan because adjustable screw-type jack stands provide the designated support. You must first separate the Engine Mount-to-Engine Mount bracket bolts and the Engine Mount bolts to remove the left Engine Mount. Install the left Engine Mount on the motor before fastening it with Engine Mount bolts which should be tightened to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Take down the engine before taking away adjustable jack stands. The installation of the front propeller shaft should be completed on 4wd vehicles. Proceed with installing the Engine Mount-to-Engine Mount bracket bolts at 65 nm (48 ft. Lbs.) torque before rehanging the wheelhouse panel along with the tire and wheel assembly when the vehicle sits on the ground.
