To fix and maintain the Brake Master Cylinder, first fasten the mounting flange in a bench vise so you can easily get to the rear of the primary Piston. Take off the master cylinder reservoir cap and diaphragm, then attach fittings to the ports that fit the flare seat and are designed for hoses. Put transparent hoses onto the fittings and guide them toward the master cylinder reservoir. Make sure the reservoir is at least half full of delco supreme 11® or dot-3 equivalent brake fluid, clean and sealed, ensuring the hose ends go below the surface. With a smooth, round tool, press the primary Piston down about 25 mm (1 inch) several times and pay attention to the fluid moving out of the ports. When the air is being forced out of the primary and secondary pistons, the primary Piston will become harder to press and its travel will be shorter. Go on doing this until only brake fluid flows out of the ports and no bubbles remain. After that, remove the see-through hoses from the reservoir, reinstall its cap and diaphragm, carefully undo the fittings along with the hoses at each port, and wrap the master cylinder in a clean cloth for safety before taking it out of the vise.
