The first step toward Radiator replacement of a 4.3l engine requires draining the cooling system and relocating the coolant recovery hose clamp from around the Radiator. First detach the coolant recovery reservoir hose before you put the hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to work on relocating the Radiator inlet hose clamp prior to removing the Radiator inlet hose. The hose clamp pliers (J 38185) should be used to reposition the Radiator outlet hose clamp before the removal of the Radiator outlet hose. Disassemble the engine oil cooler lines together with transmission oil cooler lines from the Radiator before taking out the Radiator completely. When installing new radiators always check the condition of rubber mounts before positioning the unit. Place the Radiator first and then install the engine oil cooler line together with the transmission oil cooler lines. To integrate the Radiator outlet hose you must use hose clamp pliers (J 38185) for relocating the outlet hose clamp before installing the Fan Shroud.
