What tools are needed to replace the Balance Shaft Bearing Set on Chevrolet S10?

The required tools to service the balance shaft are J 26941 (Bushing/Bearing Remover) and J 38834 (Balance Shaft Service Kit). Put the shaft in the J 26941 after taking it off first then anchor the legs at the rear bearing side. First put the J 38834-1 short threaded end through the balance shaft bore in front of engine block. Then press the J 38834-1 into the J 26941. Insert the J 38834-2 item onto the assembled J 38834-1 piece that goes through the balance shaft bore of the engine block. Insert the J 38834 bearing set with washer and nut onto J 38834-1 before fastening it. Use the wrench to rotate the J 38834 nut clockwise and remove the balance shaft rearmost bearing from the block. Discard the old bearing. To install the new balance shaft rear bearing apply the J 38834 tool by connecting the J 38834-3 piece to the short threaded end of J 38834-1 followed by installing the nut washer and bearing on the long threaded end. Insert the J 38834-2 into the balance shaft front bearing bore from the engine block's front with its small diameter facing out. Apply engine oil onto the new balance shaft rear bearing and set it onto the J 38834-2 while keeping it properly aligned for assembly. Use a wrench to fasten the J 38834-1 then turn the J 38834 nut until the bearing settles properly into its bore. Reinstall the balance shaft after you have taken out J 38834.
