    A:
A replacement of the Throttle Cable for the automatic transmission - 3 speed-mb3 begins with loosening the Throttle Cable locknut and adjust nut before separating the Throttle Cable from the throttle valve linkage and Throttle Cable bracket and the Throttle Cable guide bracket. The next step involves lifting the vehicle while supporting it with stands followed by removing 6 bolts together with the left splash shield. The next step requires removing both pop nuts and pnp switch from the transaxle followed by placing a drain pan under the transaxle fluid pan. Pull out the transaxle Drain Plug to drain fluid and proceed to remove the 15 fluid pan bolts as well as the fluid pan and its gasket. The Throttle Cable requires separation from the throttle valve cam on the valve body assembly before removing its retaining bolt. Check the Throttle Cable o-ring for damage before performing a replacement if needed. Secure the Throttle Cable along with its retaining bolt inside the transaxle case while torquing the bolt to 8 nm (71 inch lbs.). After you connect the Throttle Cable to the throttle valve cam, you should install a new fluid pan gasket followed by the fluid pan with 15 bolts tightened at 4.9 nm (43 inch lbs.). When finished drain the pan remove it before tightening the Drain Plug to 49 nm (36 ft. Lbs.). The pnp switch must be reinstalled using 8 nm (71 inch lbs.) torque while the left splash shield can be secured with 6 bolts set to 5 nm (44 inch lbs.). After lowering the vehicle, install the Throttle Cable on the accelerator cable then place them in the retaining bracket before installing the Throttle Cable adjustment cover. Complete the process by adding necessary transaxle fluid to the system.
