Chevrolet Monte Carlo Battery Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the battery sensor on Chevrolet Monte Carlo?
    A:
Start battery current sensor replacement work by detaching the instrument panel (I/P) electrical connector at the battery current sensor location. Take off the positive and negative battery wires before cutting the tape and tie straps holding the battery current sensor onto the negative wire. You can slide the battery current sensor off the Battery Cable by squeezing its cable branches while matching its position for future installation. Place the new battery current sensor right onto the Battery Cable with its tape facing the opposite direction. Apply new tie straps and electrical tape on both sides to attach the sensor onto the negative Battery Cable when you have installed the correct battery current sensor. Replace the positive and negative battery cables afterward. After that step, connect the electrical connector of the i/p harness to the battery current sensor.
