First mount j 34013-b together with j 34013-88 into j 3289-20 then lock the strut assembly with two pins. Guide the damper rod through the strut spring upper seat using the j 34013-96 during spring decompression. Once you release the spring you should uninstall these parts: bearing seat , upper washer , bearing seal , bearing , lower washer , spacer , upper spring seat , strut cover , and bumper stopper . First mount the strut assembly to j 34013-b and j 34013-88 before installing the spring correctly. Afterward extend the damper rod to its maximum length. Maximum accuracy during installation can be achieved by first installing the j 34013-20 and then fitting the bumper stopper followed by the strut cover then finishing with the upper spring seat as you align the arrow on the upper spring seat to point toward the fixture arm. Follow this installation order: bearing spacer followed by lower washer and bearing then add bearing seal and upper washer followed by bearing seat then support. Make sure to center all components while maintaining alignment. Maintain spring compression until the damper shaft shows 1 inch exposure before adding the strut stopper and strut nut while applying force to 37 ft. Lbs. (50 Nm). Detach the j 34013-20 from the damper rod before decompressing the strut spring for final separation of the strut assembly from j 34013-b along with j 34013-88.
