  • Q: How to remove and install the positive battery cable on Chevrolet Metro?
    A:
The first step to remove the positive Battery Cable is to disconnect the negative Battery Cable followed by the removal of the positive cable from the battery. Remove the positive Battery Cable by disconnecting it first from the bottom of the fuse and relay box and secondly from the generator. First remove the Starter Solenoid cable and its nut then disconnect the cable from its harness hold down. The positive Battery Cable requires placement within vehicle compartments before you can connect it to the Starter Solenoid while tightening the nut to 7 n.m (62 lb in). The positive Battery Cable must be hooked to the generator followed by wire connection to the fuse and relay box. Secure the cable inside the harness hold downs after routing it properly and finish with the negative Battery Cable connection.
