Replace the Brake Fluid Indicator Level (without RPO LAT) switch for 2.4L nonhybrid and 3.6L engines by removing Brake fluid level indicator switch electrical connector while master cylinder reservoir has the brake fluid removed. Then have the turn off the gravity feed pumpware from the reservoir, next remove the master cylinder reservoir bolt and remove the reservoir from the master cylinder, then remove the fluid level indicator switch from the master cylinder by pressing on the locking tabs on the switch from the bottom on the reservoir. For installation, clean the reservoir with denatured alcohol and dry it with a filtered, non-lubricated compressed air. Mount the fluid level indicator switch on the master cylinder with the locking tabs in place and then replace the reservoir onto the master cylinder. Replace the master cylinder reservoir bolt and tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb in), reconnect brake fluid indicator switch electric connection, have reservoir filled for master cylinder.
