How to replace the auxiliary HVAC Control Module on Chevrolet Tahoe?

The installation process to replace an auxiliary HVAC Control Module begins with removing the right rear quarter trim panel. Separate electrical connectors (3,4) from the auxiliary HVAC Control Module. Also detach the mounting screws to remove it. Screw out the auxiliary HVAC Control Module from within the auxiliary hvac module . To install the auxiliary HVAC Control Module place it into position on the auxiliary hvac module by tightening screws to 1.6 n.m (14 lb in) as noted in service precautions fastener notice. Reapply electrical connectors (3,4) to the auxiliary HVAC Control Module then reinstall the right rear quarter trim panel.

Repair of the HVAC control module begins by removing the instrument panel (I/P) center trim panel followed by HVAC control module screws removal and control module extraction. Remove all wire harness connectors from the HVAC control module. Proper calibration requires that you turn the key to OFF position before you attach any electrical connectors during installation. The next step installs the HVAC control module after reconnecting its wire harness connectors to one another. Reattach the I/P center trim panel while you secure the HVAC control module screws at 2.5 N.m torque (22 lb in).
