Before engine Flywheel replacement begin by extracting the automatic transmission while properly marking down engine Flywheel orientation and position. You must remove the automatic transmission engine Flywheel after breaking its bolts. Place two m11x1.5 mm bolts into the threaded holes of the spacer before removing it from the
Crankshaft rear by clockwise rotation. Install the automatic transmission engine Flywheel by positioning its spacer (if equipped) to the Crankshaft end followed by Flywheel installation. The installation requires longer Flywheel bolts when using spacers but necessary thread-strengthening compound gm p/n 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or equivalent must be used to secure the Flywheel bolts' threads. The engine Flywheel bolts need sequential tightening following these torque values: 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.) in the first pass, then 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.) in the second pass and concluding with a tightness of 100 nm (74 ft. Lbs.). Finally, install the automatic transmission.
