The removal procedure for 6.5l Fan Shroud wiring harness requires detachment of the clip retainers. In the next step remove all upper Fan Shroud retaining bolts from the top edge of the radiator and proceed with undoing upper to lower Fan Shroud retaining bolts before extracting the upper Fan Shroud while pushing aside the radiator intake hose when installing on the 4.3l engine. Start by removing the fan along with the clutch from the engine before unscrewing the lower Fan Shroud retaining bolts and finally removing the lower Fan Shroud. The engine upper to lower oil level indicator tube needs resealing through application of rtv sealant gm p/n 12346286 or equivalent at the joints before inserting the top tube section into the bottom section on 4.3l, 5.0l and 5.7l engines. The oil level indicator tube requires installation onto the transmission fluid fill tube lower support by securing it with a retaining bolt which should be tightened to 4 nm (44 inch lbs.). This procedure must be followed by tightening the screw attaching the oil fill tube to the lower support. The Coolant Reservoir or surge tank and air intake duct from throttle body and air cleaner assembly need to be reinstalled.
