How to replace the hood latch on Chevrolet Express 2500?

Start by supporting the hood while it is raised and use a grease pencil to mark the Hood Latch position together with those of the fasteners. Start by removing the bolts which hold the Hood Latch to the radiator support before pulling out the Hood Latch from this location. You should detach the hood release cable from its position on the Hood Latch. Secure the Hood Latch onto the radiator support by connecting its release cable first. Then fasten the Hood Latch using bolts but leave them loose at this time. Place the Hood Latch and fasteners on the pencil marks made previously and shift the Hood Latch sideways until the hood striker meets the latch correctly while adjusting the hood height in relation to the fenders using front hood bumpers. Finish by tightening the Hood Latch radiator support bolts to 15 n.m (11 lb ft) whereas closing the hood for final inspection.
