The process to replace the thermal expansion valve in the auxiliary system begins with Evaporator core removal requiring a careful record of tube mounting position on the core. Lift off the sealer materials surrounding the txv before unclipping the tube-attachment point between capillary and Evaporator core. The Evaporator tube connections should be unfastened from the txv before removing the txv from the core. Install the txv by placing it on the core followed by connecting the Evaporator tube links to the valve while torquing them to 28 n.m (21 lb ft). When reinstalling the clip follow the exact arrangement of installation that corresponded with the disassembly process. Specifically reinstall the Evaporator core after you connect the capillary tube to the Evaporator core using the clip and apply pack sealer in the same configuration observed during disassembly.
