How to Service and Repair a Liftgate Hinge on Chevrolet Equinox?

To replace the liftgate hinge, remove liftgate and headliner first. Use a grease pencil to pinpoint the liftgate hinge position on the body and then remove the hinge retaining nuts off the vehicle roof and take the hinge out. For installation align the hinge with the marks made on the vehicle body, remember to install the hinge retaining nuts followed by tightening them to 25 Nm (18 lb ft). Then reinstall the above the windshield (headliner) and lastly the liftgate.
