To remove the negative Battery Cable, first of all, remove the batter tray then de-install the heat shield retainer at the upper plenum, and the wheelhouse panel, then the batter heat shield. Next, take off the right rear spark plug wire, remove the clips of the battery cables, negative Battery Cable ground nut and the negative Battery Cable ground lead. The battery cables quit the engine wiring harness insulator, lift and assist the vehicle, and later, eliminate the averse Battery Cable terminal bolt and terminal before lowering the vehicle and eradicating the adverse Battery Cable. For installation, first install the negative Battery Cable, raise the vehicle, and run the engine harness ground terminal with the negative cable terminal prior to installing the negative Battery Cable terminal and bolt, tighten it to 8 n.m (71 lb in). Lower the vehicle, then connect the battery cables to the engine wiring harness insulator, followed by the negative Battery Cable ground lead and ground nut and tighten it to 8 n.m (71 lb in). Next, install the Battery Cable clips, the right rear spark plug wire, and the battery heat shield in which you make sure that two fingers of the heat shield bracket are on each side of the heat shield and the shield slides into the notch in the insulator. Lastly, install the heat shield retainers on the wheelhouse panel, and upper plenum, and the battery tray.
