The first step to replace a Power Steering Pump for 1.4l (LDT) and 1.6l (LXV) engines is to remove the Drive Belt from the Power Steering Pump. First disconnect the pressure pipe together with the supply hose from the pump followed by draining the power steering fluid. Take out the pump by removing bolts (1, 2) from its installation. Fit the pump after you place the steering column in the lock position. Secure the pump within the vehicle by using bolts (1, 2) and tightening them to 26 nm (19 lb ft). The supply hose and the pressure pipe need to be reconnected with proper torque of 28 nm (21 lb ft for the union nut.).
