The first step to replace the door limiter link begins with removing the door trim panel. Follow the steps of repositioning door seal trim before you remove the bolts holding the door to its body. Then disconnect the hold open link system from the door. The installation begins by bolting the door hold open link to the door and body before tightening all door hold open link-to-body bolts to 35 N.m (26 lb ft) and all door hold open link-to-door bolts to 5 N.m (44 lb in). After repositioning the door seal trim the door trim panel will be installed.
