Start by elevating the vehicle before you remove the nut connecting the transmission control lever to the manual shaft then disconnect the transmission control lever. Begin by disconnecting the electrical connectors from the switch then use a wrench to remove mounting bolts holding the park/neutral position switch to the transmission before taking the switch off the manual shaft. To remove burrs from the outer manual shaft edge simply use a file tool.
