Make sure the Crankshaft is intangible to grit, loose rust, or burrs and had to disponibility adjust as required. Apply a very light oil film on the sealing side of the Crankshaft, ensuring that you don't put oil on the sealing side of the block. Mount the seal onto the Crankshaft rear seal installer (J 42849), and align the installer with the Crankshaft and thread attaching screws into the holes tapped into the base. Use a screw driver to tighten the screws securely so that the seal is seated squarely over the Crankshaft then turn the center nut until the installer bottoms out. Lastly, uncase the installer and re-install the Flywheel.
