  The replacement process begins with refrigerant recovery followed by grille removal. Begin by undoing and taking out bolts of the tie bar to radiator brace at the rear of the upper radiator support and continue by removing the lower bolts from the hood latch support bracket. The compressor discharge hose assembly bolt needs removal to separate the condenser from its connection with compressor discharge hose assembly. After disconnecting the evaporator tube from the condenser you must remove the evaporator tube nut first. Remove the vehicle's condenser by disassembling the insulator retainer bolts then upper insulator retainers. Installation includes inserting a new condenser into the vehicle while adding refrigerant oil during condenser replacement. Tighten the insulator retainer bolts along with upper insulator retainers to 2.4 N.m (21 lb in). Join the evaporator tube with the condenser using new sealing washers then fasten the evaporator tube nut to a torque of 16 N.m (12 lb ft). The compressor discharge hose installation requires new sealing washers and a 16 N.m (12 lb ft) torque when tightening the compressor discharge hose nut. Use 9 N.m (80 lb in) torque to secure lower bolts to the hood latch support bracket before installing tie bar to radiator brace bolts by accessing them through the rear of the upper radiator support at 9 N.m (80 lb in). Again reinstall the grille and evacuate then recharge the system while performing a Halogen Leak Detector (J 39400-A) check for the fittings.
