The direct fuel injectors with attached harness should be removed as a single unit while disconnecting the electrical connector. The j 2619-01 slide hammer with j-37281-a injector remover should be utilized to evenly remove the injectors when necessary. Engineers must throw away the upper o-ring seal, plastic spacer, retaining ring, isolator cup, and teflon seal attached to the fuel injectors. The need to clean Fuel Rail injector bores requires the use of the j 39313 spark plug port adapter together with the en-47909 injector bore and sleeve cleaning kit. Install the direct fuel injectors after applying gm p/n 12345610 or equivalent silicon-free engine oil (Canadian P/N 993193) to a new o-ring seal and placing it together with the plastic spacer the retaining ring the isolator cup and teflon seal onto the fuel injectors. Fix the en-48266-1 onto the injector tip of the en-48266 injector seal installer and sizer. Through this tool, install a teflon seal and pull it through the injector groove. Place the en-48266-2 to the injector tip before using the en-48266-2 to resize the teflon seal through rotating it under moderate force. Dump the en-48266-2 after reinstall the direct fuel injectors with their harness as one assembly by reconnecting electrical connectors and returning injector alignment to removal conditions. Before completion the team must install the fuel injection Fuel Rail assembly.
