How to replace the cellular communications/digital radio antenna on Cadillac STS?

In order to replace the cellular communications/digital radio Antenna, start by removing the rear sail panels. Take care not to hurt the headliner when removing or installing since excessive bending can destroy the headliner. Lower the rear side of the headliner, and then removing the foam tape behind the Antenna cable connection. Remove the Antenna connectors, disconnect the bolts and expansion sleeve and remove the Antenna. Then, unscrew the screws on which the Antenna mast is connected to the Antenna Base and disconnect the mast. To install, mount the Antenna on the roof and ensure that the wiring pigtail is routed to the side in the slot on the Antenna shat. Follow a sequence of steps where you install the Antenna expansion sleeve and bolt to the Antenna shaft, screwing it to 9 nm (80 lb in). Connect the Antenna connectors back and cover them with a foam tape. Mount the Antenna cable connection to the am/fm Antenna module and secure the Antenna to hold down clips. Synchronize the headliner to the roof panel, and attach the rear sail panels. Finally, put the mast on the Antenna Base and attach it with screws, tighten the screws up to 1 nm (9 lb in).
